1. What Resku is
Resku is a personal safety application, operated by BharatGrid Systems Private Limited: groups of people who choose to share their safety status with each other, with trips, check-ins, help alerts and automatic crash detection.
2. A safety-critical limitation: please read this
Resku's help alerts and crash detection run on your phone. An alert can only be sent if the phone survives the incident and can transmit: it must remain powered on, undamaged, and connected to a mobile or Wi-Fi network at the moment of sending. If a phone is destroyed or damaged, loses network coverage, runs out of battery, is switched off, or its operating system stops the app before the alert is sent, no alert will be sent, and Resku is not liable for the absence of that alert.
Resku is a best-effort safety net that supplements, and never replaces, emergency services. In an emergency in India, dial 112.
3. Crash detection is probabilistic
Crash detection infers events from your phone's motion sensors and location. False alarms and missed detections are possible. The countdown exists so you can cancel a false alarm; sending the alert when the countdown runs out is a best-effort action.
4. Your responsibilities
Keep your emergency contacts and medical information accurate, keep the permissions Resku needs turned on, and do not interact with the app while driving.
5. Accounts, groups and data
Accounts are verified by phone number. Groups are invite-only, and you choose per group what others can see. Our data practices are described in the Privacy Policy. Deleting your account is permanent.
6. Acceptable use
Do not misuse Resku: no deliberate false alerts, harassment, tracking anyone without their knowledge, or reverse engineering.
7. Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will tell you in the app when we do. Questions: support@bharatgridsystems.com.
